Design Culture Now Poster

This project involved designing a typographic-focused poster for a lecture series on contemporary design. The goal was to create a visually engaging composition that captures the essence of the series using a combination of a sans-serif typeface and a unique, hand-drawn or vernacular typeface.

For the headings, I printed the sans-serif typeface, distorted it by crumpling the paper, then scanned and digitized the result. I drew inspiration from the location of the Design Culture Now lectures in New York City, emulating the bold style of iconic NYC subway signage.

The final design embodies the dynamic energy of the city, blending bold, creative typography with a balance of clarity and artistic flair.
